Making ready for its privatization, the Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (PIAA) has been changed over into an organization.

Tending to a public interview here on Sunday, PIA Chairman Nasser N. S. Jaffer said the PIAC had been changed over into an organization, however for its representatives the occupation conditions would stay unaltered.

He said all partners, representatives of each evaluation and class stood exchanged to the organization, PIACL, with the same assignment and on the same terms and conditions as they held in PIAC.

Mr Jaffer said the PIAC had been changed over through Ordinance No XVII dated Dec 4 from a statutory enterprise into an organization represented by the Companies Ordinance, 1984. The new substance is called Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL).

He said through the law, the PIACL had succeeded to every one of the advantages, liabilities, obligations and commitments of PIAC.

Thus, the PIACL is currently qualified for the advantage of all notices, licenses, consents, sanctions, authorisations, concessions, orders, global air administration authorisations, assentions, requests and advantages issued or allowed to PIAC.

He said all moneylenders (outside and nearby, armada and non armada) and different loan bosses of PIAC should keep on getting a charge out of from PIACL the same contractual advantages and securities that they prior delighted in.

All sureties given by the government to secure PIAC’s commitments will now proceed with to secure the commitments of PIACL.

Secretary General of the People’s Unity of PIA Employees Mohammad Ashraf condemned the move and termed it the administration’s initial move towards privatization of the carrier.
